Obituary

Service for Rennie Charles Littlefield Scoggins, 88, of Houston, will be conducted Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will take place in the Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reverend Andrew Ellison, Sam Farias, Rudy Holden, Blake Padgett, Richard Warren, and Barry Payne. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, November 25, 2019 at the funeral home.

Rennie Scoggins was born November 20, 1931 in Coryell County, Texas to Tip Albert and Sally Elizabeth (Wittie) Littlefield. She married Ernest “Pat” Scoggins in 1963 in Turnersville, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2001. Mrs. Scoggins was an Inspector for Texell Industries. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and walked with God daily.

Rennie dedicated much of her life to motherhood and her grandchildren and was the best mom a girl could ask for. She was known by her grand- and great-grandchildren as “Nennie” and she loved to spoil and spend time with them. Rennie was a loyal friend and honest to her core. She would do anything for a friend and wasn’t afraid to tell you how she felt.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth Click and husband Darrell; granddaughters, Casie Ellison and husband Reverend Andrew, Alison Fruin and fiancé Sam Farias, Lisa Click Allen, Nikki Mattison and Marshal Tyner; great-grandchildren, Lily, Blake, Landon, John, Kensley, Calvin, Daniel, and Alena; sister, Patsy Wade; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded by her great-grandson, Nolan Matthew Ellison; parents; sisters, Lillie “Dick” Dossman and her husband Emil, Tessie “Tack” Littlefield, Marie “Mo” Dussetschleger and her husband Bob, and Waldean “Dean” Warren and her husband Melvin; and brother, Tip Littlefield, Jr.; and brother-in-law Billy Joe Wade.
