Debbie was my nextdoor neighbor from 2nd grade through high school. We played together every day. Her mom, Dorothy, drove us to school and picked us up. I have so many memories flooding back about Debbie, Dorothy, Cecil and Mamaw. I was always at their house. Debbie had a lot of children's books, and I loved reading them, because I didn't have any. Whenever their family went somewhere fun like Six Flags, they took me along. Debbie loved her family! Dorothy and Cecil were so fun and made funny jokes. Cecil always talked about fried icecream. I hope he got to have some! My daddy painted pictures, and he gave one to them. It hung over their couch in the living room all those years. Daddy and Cecil were in a bluegrass band together. My mother sewed their outfits. There was always music in both of our houses and a jam session every weekend at someone's house. I ate at their house often. Dorothy put sugar in her vegetables when she cooked, which I never had before. Mamaw lived in a little house in their back yard. Debbie and Mamaw were so close and full of love for each other. There are so many more memories that I have of Debbie. The thing I remember most is how much everyone loved Debbie and how much she loved her family. After high school I moved away from Cleburne, and we lost touch. But I never forgot Debbie and my McNatt family. They had a huge impact on my life as a child, and I am forever grateful for their love. I hope Dorothy sees this. Dorothy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I would come to the service, but I'm too far away and just now learned about Debbie's passing. She was my best friend and playmate. Rest in peace, sweet Debbie. All my love until we meet again.
